We woke up bright and early to start the day, we were to become Taoist for a few hours. We got to the the temple and had to hike a quadrillion steps to reach the main building. It was worth it when we got to the top, it was like we were transported to China circa Mulan times hehehe... Taoist Temple        They had several mini temples for each god, one for business, another for travel, another for health, and so on.         We entered the biggest temple last where we lit an incense and made wishes by using a half moon shaped wooden thingies. It was said that the god's answers the individuals wishes and prayers thru the wooden half moons. You throw it and when it's both up, its maybe, if both down its a no, but if its one up and another down, its a yes. Funny thing is that I got the maybe and the yes mixed up so I kept repeating and rephrasing my question when it was actually already a YES... The gods must have been scratching their heads, if only they can sh

We had our annual family vacation in the culturally rich islands of ZUBU, or as its commonly known now, Cebu. It was a graduation gift for both my baby bro and fave nephew because they graduated in high school and kindergarten respectively.             The whole gang headed to the airport, sans Manang since doctors are busy bees and  she was just gonna the next day. Since she already went to Cebu a few weeks ago and did all the "touristy" things, our game plan was to be tourists for the day and when she arrives she can be the official tour guide (MD na and tour guide pa hahaha!!!)            Check out our fun filled photo ops, travelling is always oh so fun and exciting when its shared with people you love. .. Queueing to jet off to see Cebu Ackie carrying his own luggage & wearing Dadad's trusty turban Whoa! A movie star!!! hahaha           After we dropped our bags, luggages and what nots, we had our fill of good

I have been staring at the stars for the fairies to come praying for inspiration dust to be sprinkled in my air apparently, they might have run out because... I'M STUMPED!!! No apt words or witty remarks spring up whenever I try to write a new post... Is it because my brain has been idle for too long burnt, fried, and all zombied up... OR I'm more inspired when I'm down and torn up inside Tinkerbell and her sister better come up because I have trips, realizations, and reviews that are still in queue waiting to be written. Until then... I'm here: WAITING!!!

Unexpected discoveries...

. While in Penang, we "discovered" a hole in the wall noodle place that was simply divine. We were searching for a place to have lunch and we came upon a bahay kubo type eatery by the side of the road. We were intrigued why alot of yuppies were eating there and as my mom said "If you're travelling, follow the locals coz you will never go wrong". And sure enough, I had the best noodles and coffee I had EVER tasted!        It was the perfect chill out spot for our weary toes! We spent the rest of the afternoon in the noodle house with no name. My goofy smile says it all: SOLB NA! hehehe  We nearly ordered everthing in their menu! Their Special Coffee, Black forthy Coffee, Coffee with sugar and cream, Spicy noodles, Regular noodles. They didnt have any menus so we just point out the food we see from other diners (how rude!hehehe). It was definitely one of the highlight of my trip =) After having our fill, we relaxed and bummed around until it was time for

Exploring Malaysia!

The road from Bangkok to Malaysia was an adventure all its own. Check out the picture of this wonderful experience! Choo choo... First stop: Penang Malaysia We dropped by a peaceful harbour town called Penang and it was such a pleasant surprise. We had a few hours to roam their streets that had a distinct indian influence. We walked and walked until our feet were about to fall off then we just hammed it up in a Marina with a picturesque view in the background. Embarassing to admit, we wasted our time taking some tacky jumping shots hehehe.. But what the heck, it was fun and nobody knew who we were. heck, nobody was around! So we got to know Penang more before we head off to our next stop. Second stop: Kuala Lumpur Our first order of travel was to book the much awaited Petronas bridge walk. It's FREE but you had to earn it because a line as tall as the tower itself greeted us when we got there (at 7AM!!!). Come 9am, there weren't eno
